You’re kidding me?!? Lord, have mercy! What’s next, a ban on all C.S. Lewis books? Whatever. It will just cause people to run out and buy the books and make them realize that there is nothing to this whole thing! As a Christian and a Georgian (AND avid Harry Potter fan…who knew you could be all 3!?! HA…ha..), let me just say this: PEOPLE, GIVE IT A REST!!

she also makde all her assumptions about the books based on he said/sahe said. She’s never read them to find out for herself. She says they’re “too long.” ….Oh and she thinks the Christians are portrayed as the evil ones in the book….yeah.. that means Voldemort and his Death Eaters are the good people.
I can’t even begin to fathom how she came to this ….conclusion

The more I read about this, the more angry I become. Besides the fact that she’s probably well aware by now that the HP books are about as accurate about witchcraft as the old “Bewitched” TV series was, this is a perfect example of how right-wing Christianity is attempting to overtake the entire country. This fanatic wants HP thrown out of the school library in favor of books like the “Left Behind” series, which are nothing more than evangelist Christian propaganda! She’s lucky that I don’t live where she does.

Whoah. Let’s take a step back for a moment. Sure, she represents a strain of “right wing” fundamentalist Christianity. But the “take over the country” conspiracy theories…well, fundamentalists have as much right in this country to try to get their point of view legislated as anyone else, I suppose.
Um…what exactly would you do if you “lived where she does”?
