Kathy was graduated from Princeton University in 1989 and received her law degree from Yale Law School in 1992. She practiced trusts and estates law in Philadelphia and New York for 14 years before moving with her family to the D.C. area in 2006. Since then she has done some consulting, started a private taxi service devoted to driving her children around along with similar home-based enterprises, and is working on a book on Harry Potter.
Although Kathy majored in Economics in college, she took many literature courses in the English, Russian, and French departments. Her three favorite courses were on 18th Century English literature, Jane Austen, and 19th Century Russian literature. She also enjoys poetry by Baudelaire and Rimbaud. Kathy loves action and comedy movies, including just about any James Bond, Star Wars, Jason Bourne, Die Hard, and Matrix movie, as well as Animal House, Austin Powers (the first), Airplane, Aladdin, and others the names of which she is temporarily occluding.
