revgeorge August 6, 2008 at 7:20 pm: The Goonies II, eh? I just don’t know. Can you really do a sequel to such an iconic film? I guess you can, but will it be any good?

The Lost Boys 3? I wasn’t even aware there was a Lost Boys 2! On a tangent, my mom graduated in the same high school class from the American high school in Nuremberg, Germany, as Dianne Wiest, who played the mom in Lost Boys. Not that they ever knew each other. It was a rather large class.
Travis Prinzi August 6, 2008 at 8:42 pm: I hear they’re doing another Ghostbusters, also. Steve Carell as Peter Venkman. Carell is great, but no one – NO ONE – will top Bill Murray’s Dr. Venkman.
Renee August 7, 2008 at 1:38 am: Dr. Horrible is a WONDERFUL funny musical. You know I always thought Whedon’s work (especially many aspects of Buffy) has similar themes to Potter regarding sacrifices, love, and choices. This is despite the fact that he is an atheist – the “Great Story” still gets told.

I think there are some interesting similarities between Dr. Horrible and Draco. (”the analogy isn’t perfect” however…)

Have you had a chance to watch Firefly?

It has to be one of the pinnacles of science fiction.

Please, please, please see it if you haven’t. If all you know of Joss Whedon is Buffy, Angel or Alien4 you’ll be very happily surprised.
