Several items of interest:
- Amy Sturgis, one of our favorites around here and a guest blogger last October, has a new Home Page and redesigned her LJ to match. Very cool.
- Danielle Tumminio is another contributor to Hog’s Head Conversations. She’s teaches a class on Harry Potter and Christian Theology at Yale which was highlighted by CNN. She’s got herself a website now, too. Stay tuned for her forthcoming book from Zossima Press, God and Harry Potter at Yale. You’ll get a taste of it in Hog’s Head Conversations. She’ll also be guest-blogging here in July and August.
- Speaking of guest blogging, I will be almost completely out of the loop here this week, as we need to finish up Hog’s Head Conversations (am I mentioning this book enough?) by this Saturday. That means a lot of editing and indexing. That also means you might just see a few new faces in the posts this week, to keep us up to speed on our Half-Blood Prince read-through.
- Finally, just a reminder to new Hog’s Head followers, you can subscribe to the blog. Click here, and you’ll find options for subscribing through an RSS reader or by getting a daily email with site updates!

Thanks for the shout-out and the links!
Another item of interest: This month’s Atlantic has a short Potter article.
Atlantic Magazine Potter Article
SPT, thanks for the link to the article. I was at first disinclined to listen to him since he seemed to think Newell’s Goblet of Fire was one of the better HP movies.
But he did say some good & interesting things in the 2 page of the article. Some good thoughts on Voldemort as a villain & a manifestation of evil. Also a quote by the very quotable John Granger.
