Azkatraz Registration Extended

by Travis Prinzi on June 30, 2009

Azkatraz had planned on closing its online registration today, but they’ve decided to extend it a few more days.  If you haven’t registered yet, now’s the time!  Here’s what’s still available:

  • Weekend Pass (including the Ball) – $130
  • Single-day Pass for Sat/Sun/Mon – $45 per day
  • Master of Potter Administration including breakfast, lunch and cocktail reception on Monday – $130 without a registration, $100 with a regular registration, and $75 for Merlin Circle sponsors
  • Dessert with Chris Rankin – $75
  • Sunday Keynote Luncheon with Eddie Newquist of the HP Museum Exhibit – $65
  • Sunday or Monday breakfast – $35
  • Fog Bowl/Quidditch competition – $35 (includes pizza and a team shirt)
  • Azkatraz Film Festival featuring Cherrybomb – $15
  • Photos with Chris Rankin – $30

If you’re a regular around here who’s considering just a day pass, and you can’t decide which day to purchase, here is my speaking schedule.  I’d love to meet you!

Does anyone know if the Imax 3d version will be shown at Azkatraz or not? Their LiveJournal earlier in June said there was an unconfirmed rumor that the Imax3D release date would be pushed back to late July, in which case the version at Azkatraz would just be the regular one in a regular theater? I didn’t see any followup on LiveJournal or Facebook and I keep getting broken link error messages when I try to go on the website. I ask because I was offered a movie ticket off the Azkatraz waitlist for $18 and paid for it before reading about the possibility there would be no Imax version. The original LiveJournal posting said if it was the regular movie, everyone would get a $5 refund. $18 sounds like an Imax price, not a regular price, doesn’t it? Anyone have any more up to date info?

Thanks.

I just had an email back from Sandy Goodson, Registrar for Azkatraz. She says there is still no news on whether the Imax 3D version will be available and no news on what the show time is.

I had got my ticket when I first registered for Azkatraz. But I’m planning on ditching the movie Thursday night. I’ll just see it at my local theater before I leave.

Well, it’s a bird in hand at the moment and might still be an Imax. And I don’t know if there are stil tix left or not at my preferred local theater.

My husband said he saw a TV commercial today for HBP that said both the regular version and the Imax version would be in theaters July 15.

If there is ANY CHANCE that you are giving away/ selling your ticket, well, lets just say I am in…. dire need of one. I registered really early this year and I could have sworn that I bought the movie ticket as well…. I’ve looked, but I can’t find any evidence of that in my account.

I’m pulling a major *headdesk* here….

I’d be totally willing to meet up with any of you at or after the registration pick up on Thursday…. I can pay cash as well if that helps any…

I will need to confirm the authenticity of the ticket before-hand of course.

Just comment back and I’ll email you as soon as possible!

SatiricSatori, I signed up for the movie on Thursday night but I’m planning on skipping it now. You can have my ticket for free if you like. Just ask Travis if you can have my personal email, I’m not going to post it online, and if he thinks it’s all right he can give you my email.
