I got tagged by Jeremy to answer these questions about books, so here goes!
1. One book that changed your life:
Thomas Oden, The Rebirth of Orthodoxy
This one shocked me out of whatever fundamentalism and sectarianism I still lived in.
2. One book that you’ve read more than once:
C.S. Lewis, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
I can’t imagine I’ll ever stop re-reading the Narnia books.
3. One book you’d want on a desert island:
J.R.R. Tolkien, The Lord of the Rings
I agree wholeheartedly with Jeremy’s comments.
4. One book that made you laugh:
Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice
It’s not exactly a comedy, is it? But Mr. Bennet cracks me up.
5. One book that made you cry:
J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
I knew it was coming, but I still couldn’t handle Dumbledore’s death when I read it.
6. One book that you wish had been written:
How the Church Figured Out All its Doctrine and Unified
7. One book you wish had never been written:
Dan Brown, The Da Vinci Code
Again, agreed with Jeremy here.
8. One book you’re currently reading:
Christopher Paolini, Eragon
Good storytelling, but if you think JKR overdoes it with adverbs and adjectives, read this guy. Really, really bad description words so far.
9. One book you’ve been meaning to read:
Joseph Heller, Catch-22
10. Now tag five people:
Gaines and Allison
Muggle Matters guys
Matthew
La Shawn

I was not at all impressed with Eragon. In fact, I never read any more in the series. I’ll be interested in your evaluation.
I keep hearing good things about Oden. I’ll have to check him out.
Thanks for playing along.
I really like Eragon and Eldest. But, you are right it does get very annoying when describing things.
