Our own Dave Jones is the first to write a review of Harry Potter & Imagination at Amazon.com. His words are very kind and I hope an accurate reflection of what you’ll find in the book.
A brief excerpt:
Harry Potter & Imagination makes at least two cases: one is that understanding the books as an expression of the kind of faerie story analyzed by J.R.R. Tolkien is a productive means of interpreting Rowling’s work; the second is that Travis Prinzi’s name should be synonymous with HP scholarship from this point forward.
John Granger adds some extra thoughts in response to Dave’s review.
Thanks, Dave, for taking the time to review the book, and for all your excellent work here. Thank you, John, for your very kind words as well, and for your invaluable work on Harry Potter.

I thought it a very thorough review by Dave. Can hardly wait for my copy to arrive.
BTW, Travis, you never said the other day, did Westbrook get you into the championship game?
Looks like an excellent review, does that mean my copy is in the mail?
The word I’ve received is that copies will be mailed out tomorrow!
I thought Dave’s review was excellent and like revgeorge said, very through. Well done. I can’t wait to get my copy.
