Correction. Tom Felton and Daniel Radcliffe talk Cricket. I found this photo today and thought it so brilliant that I, with some nudging by Travis, decided to post it here. The photo was taken back in August when the two Potter stars attended a Cricket game. And yes, while they play characters that are often at odds with one another (that’s an understatement), Radcliffe and Felton are friends in real life.

That’s 6 and out right there!
I know nothing about cricket, but that’s a really cute picture of the two of them.
No sticky wickets there! I agree with Eeyore, that’s a very cute picture, but oh! that’s such an adult looking Daniel and Tom. Daniel’s face in particular has really filled out from the time when he was in the first Harry Potter film.
I really like Tom Felton. Out of all the child actors of this series, I think he has grown the most into an actor as adult. He consistantly makes good choices throughout with his craft and values his character. Although I the love the actors of the trio – and how about the fact that Emma Watson has decided to go to college! Gawd I love her for that! Too often actors think they’re already doing what they want so why should they be going to college. Pity more don’t.
Quick quiz for Korg: Which Doctor played cricket?
Anyway, I’d like to learn more about cricket someday. Is there a Chicago Cubs Cricket team out there?
I know that the 5th doctor wore a cricket jumper, but I haven’t seen too much of the classic to know which one actually played cricket
. The newest episode airs tomorrow!
Even though you’re not sure, aerisflowers, you are correct! The Fifth Doctor plays cricket in the program Black Orchid.
revgeorge,
Peter Davidson really looked the goods in his cricket duds.
Cricket is a great game but hard to grasp if you haven’t grown up with it. When I wrote “six and out” above I was referring to the usual backyard cricket rule- If you hit the ball over the fence on the full you scored six runs but were out too because you caused such a hold-up to the game and someone had to climb the fence and get the ball. Kudos with consequences…
They’re about to watch England get flogged by Australia in a one-day game. A real cricket game lasts five whole days (complete with lunch, tea and drinks breaks). Occasionally they cut it down to games that only last 8 hours.
Ex-colonial countries love flogging England in sports the English invented.
My favourite cricket game starts Boxing Day in Australia (Dec 26). It gives you the excuse to lay on the lounge and sleep while ‘watching’ it. If something happens you wake up and watch the replay.
If this is August, weren’t they watching Australia getting flogged by England playing for the Ashes?
Oh… I had forgotten all about that. It wasn’t really important.
Not very.
