I’ve been wanting to revisit Harry’s first Potions lecture with Snape and toss some thoughts around about the draught of living death. But Janet’s newest “Setups and Payoffs” post is up, and it covers a lot of what I had wanted to say. It’s excellent reading, and you’ll get a lot of insight into that first class, and she also summarizes well the reasons Dumbledore is actually, really dead.
