I agree, this is an amazing article. I can’t post on Granger’s website, for some reason, so I guess I’ll post here that this article made a lot of sense of some of the plot points that, upon my first reading, seemed to be just wandering. Somewhere (I remember now, it was a review by Stephen King) I read a reviewer say that she seemed to be waiting for the end of the school year and allowing time to drag and the plot to wander, but this article makes sense of some of that. I can’t wait for the rest of it.
