Harry Potter News and Commentary
Lev Grossman, who has written on Harry Potter for TIME Magazine and interview J.K. Rowling, has been added to the Special Guest list for Azkatraz.
Long-time Hog’s Head patrons know that Grossman’s inclusion should add yet another exceedingly interesting aspect to the Azkatraz conference. I’ve had some rather strong words for Mr. Grossman in the past!

I just got an image in my head reminiscent of the debates held between Lewis and all would-be challenges at Oxford back in his heyday with much (perhaps too much) satisfaction
Registered, got my hotel room, got my plane tickets, got my wife’s permission to go. Actually, that had to come before all the other things I listed. Still need to find someone to preach for me on July 19th but I’ve got some feelers out.
Probably won’t got to the Grossman thing, though. Sadly, the Giants are out of town that weekend. Oh well, there might be other things to do in San Fran on Monday while waiting for the Podcastpalooza to start. Besides, there’s other sessions of the Masters in Potter Administration that might be interesting to attend.
I wonder how much Grossman will even be around. He’s speaking at a special session that you have to pay a lot of extra money to get into. I’ll be surprised if he attends the entire conference.
I’m sure he’ll only be there for his presentation on Monday morning. But I guess I didn’t realize that if you have a full registration or a Merlin’s Circle one that you get into one morning session of the MPA & one breakout session in the afternoon. Of course, if you want to get into more sessions than that, then you have to cough up varying amounts of money.
You have to pay extra to see…. Lev Grossman? Lawl.
What do you have to do to see Percy? Wait, don’t tell me. I am not sure I even want to know.
