For C.S. Lewis fans, there’s a new blog that’s bound to be tremendous. It’s got a host of great contributors. Visit it regularly; put the RSS feed in your blog aggregator. This will be must reading, I assure you.

You might want to start with Dr. Michael Ward’s summary of his thesis in Planet Narnia:

C.S. Lewis secretly based the Chronicles of Narnia on the seven heavens. The imagery associated with each planet provided him with his symbolic raw materials. The planetary symbols govern the shape of each story, countless points of ornamental detail and, most importantly, the portrayal of the central character, Aslan.

You’ll also want to take a look at this post from Amy Sturgis today, containing a list of free iTunes U audio lectures on some authors near and dear to our hearts.

Thanks for the link to the new C.S. Lewis blog; it looks very interesting so far. I’m reading Michael Ward’s Planet Narnia right now (more than halfway done) and I’m loving every page of it. This book is very informative and the author’s thesis is solid. Good stuff.

Incidentally, I think you might be very interested in this blog, as well. (Check out the lists of completed novels and completed religious books.)
