The New York C.S. Lewis Society, “the oldest society for the appreciation and discussion of C.S. Lewis in the world,” is hosting a 40th anniversary weekend symposium, with excellent Lewis scholars, August 7-9, 2009. If you’re near NYC, this is an event you won’t want to miss. I’m 7 hours away, and I’m trying to figure out how I could manage to make the trip.
View the pdf flyer for the conference.
Great conference and day-pass rates. You’ll be happy you went.

Tell your wife you’re going out for wings. Just don’t say where.
Tell her the truth and offer to take care of the kids for a day when you get back so she gets a day off, too!
I’m about 99% sure both Graham and I will be out of the city that weekend preparing for our wedding on August 15. We’re sitting here kicking ourselves, trying to figure out how it might be possible to be in two places at once. Time Turner please?
I would love to attend this! It looks like a great event. Unfortunately, it’s scheduled at the same time as The World Science Fiction Convention, so I’ll be in Montréal.
I might go to this.
