PubCast #65 Available at iTunes!

by Travis Prinzi on June 17, 2009

Update: Apparently, though it downloaded to my iTunes, it’s not doing the same for others.  I’ve made another adjustment, and hopefully you’ll see it soon.  Do let me know as soon as you see it in your iTunes.

I’m not entirely sure what fixed it, but I have great news: Hog’s Head PubCast #65 is finally available at iTunes.  I played around with some of the settings in the post this evening, clicked “update post,” and next thing I know, iTunes has the episode.

Stay tuned for more PubCasts soon!

My iTunes still isn’t updating with your podcast. I am not pleased. I’ll play around with it some more and see what gives, but so far, even after refreshing my podcasts it’s still not there. Boo hiss, iTunes!

Okay, I just went to the iTunes store, and I can find a listing for your podcast, but there aren’t any there and you’re still listed under history, oddly enough. I’ll continue to snarl at it.

REALLY? Argh. It downloaded for me last night.

I wonder if I’ve confused iTunes now with all my attempted feed changes. I’ll take another look at it this weekend.

Anyone else having trouble getting the episode?

No luck here.

I had no problem getting it at all…but then I use Rhythmbox as my podcatcher. :)

Great … so the only person who can get it from iTunes is the guy who recorded the podcast and has it on his computer anyway.

7 MidlifeMidwifeNo Gravatar June 18, 2009 at 8:03 pm

Nope, I can’t download it from iTunes either!

Well, I’m back to square one. You should be able to find the last bunch of episodes at iTunes again, though it’s still categorized in history for some reason.

< cryptic -statement >All of this may end up being irrelevant in the near future anyway.< /cryptic-statement >

As long as you’re not discontinuing the podcast, I’ll wait with baited breath. :)

All of your podcasts disappeared from my iTunes!!! :-0

Okay, I resubscribed and I am getting them back, but only to #64 Moral Imagination.

Tried again today. Even deleted the podcast and tried re-subscribing through iTunes—no luck getting number 65. Help!

Sorry to say I have not been able to download #65 from iTunes nor can I see this or any other podcast from you iTunes page.

Your podcasts are awesome, Travis. Please keep them coming if you can

And, thank you for the previous 64.

14 Travis PrinziNo Gravatar June 29, 2009 at 1:07 pm

tim, thanks for your kind words.

So … some people can see the previous 64, some can’t. My computer downloaded episode #65 without any problem; most others can’t. This is really a mystery!

Now that the book edits are done, I should have time to look into this problem in the coming week.

Nope, latest podcast won’t download for me either. :-(

16 TJNo Gravatar June 30, 2009 at 10:44 pm

Wait, scratch that. I just hit “refresh” on my iTunes and Hogshead Pubcast #65 is now downloading.

It is? Can others check their iTunes as well? I went into the podpress guts yesterday and noticed that the feed had reverted back to one I had tried by hadn’t worked. I fixed it. Hopefully, you’re all seeing it now?

18 deacondonNo Gravatar July 1, 2009 at 8:48 am

I see it now.

19 AshleyNo Gravatar July 1, 2009 at 11:53 am

I’ve got it now, too! Hooray!

20 BrentNo Gravatar July 1, 2009 at 10:27 pm

It looks good now

21 Travis PrinziNo Gravatar July 1, 2009 at 10:33 pm

Well, I don’t know how it’s fixed, but it is!

The Hog’s Head PubCast will now resume regular episodes!
