PubCast
The Hog’s Head PubCast is the podcast of Travis Prinzi, author of a forthcoming book on the Harry Potter series (Zossima Press, 2008). In short, he hangs out in Aberforth’s dingy bar and talks about Harry Potter. The podcast, started in 2006, has been a vital part of Harry Potter commentary at The Hog’s Head (formerly Sword of Gryffindor).
You can appear on The Hog’s Head PubCast in one of two ways:
- Send me an E-Owl with a question or comment; I’ll respond to it on the next podcast!
- Send me a voicemail, and get have your own voice on the PubCast! Simply call 206-222-2491 and leave your message, and I’ll play it and respond to your comments/questions on the next show!
I try to record podcasts at least twice a month, though I prefer to get 3-4 done each month. I welcome all questions, comments, and suggestions for the show, and I appreciate your support.
All episodes are archived here at the site, and each episode can be downloaded or listened to straight from the site. Unless otherwise noted, music on the podcast is played by Tariq Harb, whose instrumental tracks can be downloaded for free at download.com.
As always, pull up a barstool; Aberforth will pour you the drink of your choosing, and let’s talk Potter!

I don’t if you track your subscriptions on iTunes or not, Travis, but if you do, my subscription isn’t counted in your tally because I subscribe through Rythymnbox. Not having a Windows or Mac I can’t get iTunes, although I suppose I could if I used my wife’s computer. I certainly use her computer for Civilization.
revgeorge,
You playing Civ4? I have been wanting that for a while now. Leonard Nimoy narrating it too!
Matthew,
Yes, it’s Civ 4 & its expansions, Warlords & Beyond the Sword. I’ve been playing Civ since my seminary days back in the olden days of the mid ’90’s when it was still Civ 1.
I’m not sure that your wife would let you buy Civ 4, though, as it’s very addictive. Even on the old versions I can remember playing 20 hours straight several times. Don’t do that any more, because I do have some responsibilities & you can win games faster & in multiple ways in the latest versions. Plus, my wife only lets me use her dual boot computer for so long.
Which is why I’m probably going to add a second hard drive just for XP, so that I can use Civ & iTunes on my computer.
