I’ve added a new link to the HP Blogs section: HP Essays. It’s a group effort, and some commenters here (Felicity, Professor Mum) contribute there.

I’ve changed the category “Defense Against the Harry Critics” to “Defense Against the Harry Haters.” Healthy criticism of Harry is good; the uninformed hatred that can too often be found is not good.
Speaking of categories, I’m going to try to rework them a bit tonight and over the next few days. This will be an annoying process, and if you use bloglines or something similar, you’ll see a lot of old posts popping up.
The alchemy series I wanted to do is on hold. I don’t have the time I thought I would for the research, and I’m focusing on three other lengthy subjects at the moment. (Once again, if anyone wants to pay me to do this full time…until then, I’ll just keep plugging away bit by bit).
If you haven’t been to John Granger’s site in a while, you might be interested in checking it out. Most of the essays are gone, but some interesting books are coming out in their place. There’s a whole book planned on the question of Dumbledore’s death, delving into some of the theories I mentioned here.
One more thing, and I’m going out on a limb a bit here: Now that I own a Macbook and all the software and help is easily available right on my laptop, I’ve got this idea in the back of my head to do an SoG podcast once in a while. I still have to learn how, but it might be a fun experiment. Any thoughts?

Oh, yeah! I definitely would like to do podcasts of conversations Merlin and I have. I think they would be really weird, but in a good way. Video podcasts would be even better because you could see all the beer bottles and ashtrays and stacks of papers. Plus the occasional screaming kid getting a diaper change or whatnot.
Also, I listened a couple really good HP podcasts that Catholic Insider priest did. They were definitely “pro-Harry.”
Pauli, I’m certain it would be a blast to listen to you two talk about Harry.
I’m really considering doing this. I don’t even know how, but I’m going to start working on the idea. Once I get the whole process up an running, how ’bout an interview? I’d like to pick your guys’ brains particularly on the “Harry Haters” and symbolism issue; I think there’s a lot there.
