Oh, this does look like fun. Thanks for sharing the link! Makes me yearn to start a book group...

I didn't have time to read much, but I did glance over the profiles and sidebars. And of course giggled when I saw that the blogger mentioned one of her favorite books being *Wuthering Heights* and adding that so far it didn't have much to do with Harry Potter. Just wait, one day she will no doubt delight to discover the world of Snape/Heathcliff discussion via Harry Potter pundits who love to talk gothic elements...

Travis, this is a great idea! Thanks for sharing the link.

I get to join others on this journey all the time. My students choose their own novels, journal about them, and discuss them in small groups. Fifteen of them are about to begin POA. Some are first-timers; others are dedicated re-readers. Either way, I love reading their journals and listening in on their discussions. Whether they are figuring out the Mirror of Erised for the first time, theorizing that Tom Riddle (COS) is only saying he was in an orphanage to get attention, or hunting for foreshadowing and "hidden treasures" a la James Thomas, it makes me happy. :-)
