Travis’s Azkatraz, Day 1 Schedule

I’m sitting in the Vendor Room at the Zossima Press booth getting ready for the day. Here’s what I’ll be up to:

  • 3pm – 4:00pm – Panel discussion on Feminism and Romance in Harry Potter in Cyril Magnin I
  • I’ll be sticking around for about 20 afterwards, with copies of Harry Potter & Imagination and Hog’s Head Conversations. I’d love to meet you!
  • 4:30 – 5:30 – Live reading of portions of Harry Potter & Imagination, followed by book signing! In the Hearst Room.
  • 9pm – Zossima Press / Hog’s Head / HogPro Meetup! Meet us in the first floor lobby of the Parc55, and we’ll head to a local pub. Zossima Press authors will be there.

Azkatraz Article

Here’s an interview with Gwendolyn Grace, “Minister of Magic” for Azkatraz, which begins a week from tomorrow. Lots of interesting stuff in here; I’ll be interested in hearing the pub patron’s thoughts on Gwen’s opinions about the early vs. the late Potter books.

She’s also very gracious, calling John Granger and myself “perennial favorites” at HPEF events.

Azkatraz Registration Extended

Azkatraz had planned on closing its online registration today, but they’ve decided to extend it a few more days.  If you haven’t registered yet, now’s the time!  Here’s what’s still available:

Weekend Pass (including the Ball) – $130
Single-day Pass for Sat/Sun/Mon – $45 per day
Master of Potter Administration including breakfast, lunch and cocktail reception on Monday [...]

Lev Grossman at Azkatraz

Lev Grossman, who has written on Harry Potter for TIME Magazine and interview J.K. Rowling, has been added to the Special Guest list for Azkatraz.
Long-time Hog’s Head patrons know that Grossman’s inclusion should add yet another exceedingly interesting aspect to the Azkatraz conference.  I’ve had some rather strong words for Mr. Grossman in the past!
