I’ve decided to push forward with this podcasting idea, and episode number 1 is in the works. But I’ve got to name the thing. My first idea was Sonorus! Podcast, “sonorus” being the spell to magnify one’s voice. But that one’s taken. So here are a couple other ideas, and I’m putting it to a vote. Vote in the comments for which name you think is best.
a) Hog’s Head
b) Hogwarts Radio
c) Hogsmeade Radio
d) Godric’s Hollow
e) SoGcast
f) Other: Your Own Suggestion
Vote early, vote often, and vote very soon (which I guess is the same as “vote early,” but I’m trying to get the point across. I’d like to have episode 1 up by the end of Labor Day Weekend)

I like Hog’s Head or Hogsmeade Radio. Godric’s Hollow might be too risky since we know nothing about it. SoGCast might work also.
I’m just glad you’re going to do a podcast.
How about “The Singing Sword” or “The Griffin’s Roar”?
If you want to have it linked to this site (i.e., in people’s minds), you need to use a name that’s similar to the website. It happened to “History According to Bob” (my favorite podcast) who has the website SummaHistorica.com — he ended up having to get a second site name, and redirect it to the site.
I suppose I could call it SwordCast…I’ll keep thinking.
I’ve subscribed to the podcast through iTunes. When I update it looks like it is dowloading your first podcast every time, yet it never shows up in my library. Is there a problem?
Actually, I’m surprised you can even subscribe through iTunes. I haven’t registered the podcast there yet. Maybe podPress attempts to register it automatically?
I’ll try to find it in iTunes and see what’s up, and I’ll see if my tech-elf can give a little assistance. Until then (I’m sure you already know this), you can just plug the feed into your iTunes software manually (Advanced…Subscribe to Podcast); that worked just fine for me, anyway.
Oh wait, I’m an idiot…you probably meant that you were subscribing through the software, not the Music Store. I haven’t had any problems on my end. It showed up in my library just fine. I’ll poke around when I have time (this weekend) and see if I can find out what you’re talking about.
Anyone else having trouble getting the podcast into your library?
