The Batavia Daily News ran an article today based on an interview I gave to Tom Rivers a couple weeks ago. My understanding is that it will only be online for a couple weeks, so give it a read!
Special thanks to Tom for the interview and the nicely written article, and to John Granger for his very kind words.

Congratulations, Travis! It’s a great article, and well-deserved.
Nice one, Travis.
Can you make of model of my heart?
Great article, Travis. Congrats! And I liked the way they brought John Granger into it as well.
btw, I just finished reading Harry Potter and Imagination. My head is so full of things that I hadn’t thought of before, or hadn’t thought of except in a superficial way. So, I haven’t had time to sort it all out to make comments yet. Very insightful – and I liked the attention you gave to some of the things that haven’t been discussed much elsewhere.

Good article. Good support from John.
Sounds like you get to practice getting to the “heart” of things in your day job as well.
Great article! Congratulations.
Congratulations, Travis! Great article and you expressed yourself and ideas well. Nice to have the kudos of John, too. Hopefully, this will extend the serious Harry Potter reader congregation.
Thanks, all! Now, here’s the thing you all missed, reading only the online version: The article is featured on the front page of the Lifestyles section, and there is a massive picture covering over half the page. It’s the movie promo pic for Order of the Phoenix, only with Harry’s head removed, and my head photoshopped into its place.
Hilarious!
Congrats Travis. The article is really good and nice comments from John Granger as well.
It was a tremendous article. I think it shows that the Harry Potter phenomenon is going to be best remembered, not for the fanatical Christian response against it nor even for the large & active fandom, but for the thoughtful & comprehensive commentary upon it.

Now, *that’s* funny! What have you been doing with that Horcrux in your head lately? And do teach us to “swish and flick” properly.
Travis I linked it over at the Boars head yesterday. Miss you over there.
Mark, Thanks. Wish I had more time to be over there. I’m buried in way too much stuff right now!
